Mundus Vini names Spier Producer of the Year: Overseas
The 11th MUNDUS VINI Great International Wine Awards was recently announced in Germany as judged by 276 well-known international wine experts. This year 6028 wines from 42 countries were entered, making this prestigious competition the world's largest recognised wine competition.
Spier has been awarded with 8 gold medals and 6 silver medals, and by achieving such great results in relation to our number of entries (20), were also awarded the Producer of the Year 2011: Overseas.
Creative Block 3 2009 was awarded gold, completing a hat-trick of awards for this Rhone style blend. It won Gold at both the recent International Wine Challenge, as well as Concours Mondial 2011.
